EFT granted energy trading licence in Montenegro

Energy Financing Team d.o.o. Herceg Novi, the Montenegrin subsidiary of the EFT Group, has been granted an energy trading license by the Energy Regulatory Agency of Montenegro (www.regagen.co.me).

“This is the first such license which has been granted in Montenegro and signals the country’s progress towards market liberalization, in line with the Athens process. EFT is now able to participate on the internal energy market in Montenegro, by offering energy directly to all the qualified consumers in the country. These are all the consumers in Montenegro, except households. Our plan is simple, to win over as many clients in Montenegro as is possible. Competition will bring numerous benefits to the Montenegrin consumers, mainly in terms of prices, quality of service and much needed flexibility. It will also foster further reforms of the energy sector” said Gordan Stojovic, director of Energy Financing Team d.o.o. Herceg Novi.

The licence has been granted for the period of eight years.
